THA DEATHSTAR
Mary Anne Hobbs from BBC Radio 1, one of the most prominent voices in the world of Dubstep and Hip Hop, will be at the Green Elephant this Friday night.
I finally had a chance to check Tha Deathstar, which is dire need of some of my attention. In the next few weeks the web design will be changing so please bare with me, I’ll be exploring the looks of some Tumblr themes to get ideas. I plan on coding one myself for both my blog and this one.
On a related note, I’ve stumbled across some very inexpensive web hosting for this blog. Tha Deathstar may part ways with the “.tumblr” if said changes occur.
So I’ve been browsing Beatport and blogs for about an hour since my last post and I just came across a release titled “The Brown Note EP”. Seems to me that Dubstep really is embracing the Fartstep sound. I’m just waiting for the day when the world turns into an episode of South Park with everybody shitting all over the place as a result of dirty wobbles.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love how disgusting this music can sound at times, but dance music is more than just fart noises. When I’m in a club or a similar setting I’m thinking about the reactions that the music brings to people, both physical and psychological. So although making fart noises is always fun, I believe music can be a lot deeper than that.

When it comes to filthy dirty shit, Datsik is straight dominating. I’ve kinda been straying away from some dubstep because of how old the fartstep sound is now…lol. But really a lot of it sounds the same, however Datsik always seems to keep it fresh.
